What you need to know
The Smart Drop Certified Excellence Award is awarded annually.
There are 2 categories: Commercial and Residential.
Open to all Smart Drop Certified (SDC) licensees.
SDC licensees must apply and nominate their product for the Excellence Award.
SDC licensees must demonstrate they meet the criteria through the provision of a covering letter and recent case study.
Why should I enter?
Smart Drop Certified Excellence Award winners will be announced at The Water Conservancy stakeholder event in October and will receive:
1 year free Smart Drop licence.
A photo opportunity with Costa Georgiadis.
Smart Drop Excellence Award logo and certificate to be used in marketing.
A Smart Drop Excellence Award trophy.
The Water Conservancy will promote the winner with applied social media spend.
Criteria and Judging Process
Entries for the Smart Drop Excellence Award will be assessed against these four criteria:
Innovation – is the product an innovative solution to water conservation, and/ or is it the first to market in its category?
Design – is the product easy to use, install and well designed?
Marketability – what is the price point, affordability, and packaging of the product?
Sustainability – what is the carbon footprint of the product? Is the product toxic to our land?
How to enter
Open for entries from Monday 4 August 2025 until 30 September 2025.
To enter you must demonstrate you meet the criteria through the provision of a covering letter and recent case study.
